After reading an article in a national Sunday newspaper and viewing the Heat Geek website my lengthy investigation into installing a heat pump crystallised and I went ahead immediately.

The problem with my water boiler was identified over the phone, the part ordered and a quotation given immediately. Dan and the team did a great job of designing and installing our Air Source Heat Pump this year. The design process was clear, from a thorough survey to detailed recommendations for the insulation, radiators and under floor heating. The installation was done with great attention to detail, fitting the tank etc into a small space and being on hand to follow up with any queries. Dan is passionate about getting the design right and clearly keeps up to speed with the latest industry beat practice. We are pleased with the result and would recommend.

When I took the decision to swap out my gas combi for an air source heat pump, I had already had a couple of heat loss surveys. My gas boiler had been running as much like a heat pump as is possible for the previous 12 months, at a 50 degree flow temperature, weather compensation and heating on 24/7. I also had lots of temperature data from individual rooms, so I felt reasonably confident that my house was suitable for a heat pump.
Dan carried out my third heat loss survey and was the most thorough, having come armed with a boroscope to check on insulation in ceilings and walls.
He came up with a design that suited me in terms of location of equipment, and we agreed on radiator upgrades over the next few weeks. The work followed a couple of months later, with Luke joining Dan on the install. They worked hard, carefully and conscientiously, sometimes for long hours. And they explained everything.
Dan has just been to service the ASHP after it's first year. I'm not surprised that it's been working well, and exceeded the predicted efficiency.
I'm very happy to now have a warm and comfortable house, and to recommend Hohm for heat pump design and install.

Dan and Luke at Hohm have been brilliant from start to finish. We asked them to install a heat pump for us and I was delighted with it. During design phase, Dan was clearly very knowledgeable and took time to talk through the process and the reasons behind his decisions. He was very accommodating of my needs (e.g. I wanted specific radiator styles) and was swift at turning round a quote. Come install, they worked really efficiently, didn't leave any mess and talked me through the system once it was built.
They also worked well alongside our other builders and seemed to go above and beyond for us. For example, to minimise the time my young family had without hot water they installed a temporary immersion heater. I also have to acknowledge how good they were with my kids who could have been perceived as getting in the way, but both Dan and Luke were great with them, talking to them about what they were doing and having fun. Shout out to Luke from my daughter who still talks about him all they time!
Then the performance. For my system, (5kW hest pump in 4 bed detached house) my efficiency in the first month has been 520%. Excellent outcome and and warm house 24/7.
Aftercare: perhaps one of the parts I appreciate the most, Dan's willingness to keep an eye on my system performance and help me to refine the settings to make sure it works for me. In the first 2 weeks, he was picking up issues before I had even noticed them and suggested how to change the settings.
Overall - incredible from start to finish and would fully recommend Hohm to anyone wanting a heat pump.

Dan and his team worked tirelessly to put right what Liquid & Gas Ltd got wrong. Despite it being a Friday, and having to turn off the boiler as the previous company had left it unsafe, his team found the part and worked into the evening to ensure the occupants did not have to go a whole weekend without heat and hot water. They did not take advantage, and charged a fair price. An excellent service around.
